Profile of Ian Naidoo

Ianwas born on the 7th of October 1966 in Clairwood, in a Hindu family. His parents were very staunch Hindus. His mother used to get the trance spirit of the god called Mariamma. Ian was trained to carry the Kavadi as a symbol for god to heal his eyes and body. He did every prayer that Hindus do and made every sacrifices with blood. After Ian lost his mother on the 14th of December 1976, he suffered from depression. He could not find peace within himself. He turned to friends on the streets. This still was not enough, until he met evangelist Bala Pillay.

On 7th October 1978, Ian gave his heart to the Lord at the Horeb Temple Churchin Clairwood. The now late Pastor George Ellapa was excited for Ian's decision. Since then Ian has never turned his back on the Lord even though he has been through very difficult circumstances. During this period, Ian lost most of his friends who were mostly Hindus.

Ian is well educated and is a people person. He has the ability to communicate with people of all ages and races. He is not afraid to preach the Gospel.

Currently as director of MWAGV, he is actively involved in various issues concerning his community as well as doing work abroad. God gave him a vision for India in 1999 and made sure that God was given His need in 2003 when he went and built a Church in Medapalli - Hyderabad Andrhapradesh India. He was welcomed with open - arms. He is still involved with the work. The work includes funding an orphanage and building of more Churches. He received numerous accolades from the city councilor and from many Christian leaders. Ian is a reliable; honest and sincere to his word. He is a force to be reckoned with. His favorite Bible verse is Matthew 28 verse 19. He is married to Margaret who currently works at the local post office in Umkomaas. Margaret is an intercessory leader and working ladies leader. She is a very good preacher and is very knowledgeable in God's word. They have two children - Denzil Benjamin (son) is the eldest and is in grade 12, he would like to be an IT specialist. Negretta (daughter) is in grade 7 and would like to be a doctor and help in the mission's field. Ian was given a dog named Jock to keep him company when everyone is out of the house.

Ian is also an ordained preacher who also has ties with Jubilee Christian Center in Cape Town. He is under the leadership of Pastor Ivan Page. "I love Ian like my own son." Ivan Page.

Ian has traveled to many countries to preach and do missionary work. In 2000 Ian underwent 6 operations to his eyes due to injuries. But the operations were not successful. His company boarded him off. Since then he is involved completely in MWAGV. Recently he obtained his diploma in TEFL and Biblical studies in He wishes to take the Gospel to China and Korea and teach the bible in English. If you feel that you have a need for Ian, send him an email.

During his stay at the post office he was involved in helping the previously disadvantaged people fight battles in union matters and labour related issues. He started in the post office as a cleaner; teller; branch postmaster; training officer and relief officer. He also underwent many courses offered by the post office to achieve career success. He was well liked by his colleagues.

Ian's desire is to be an effective missionary / preacher, helping the people around the world. He feels that in order to achieve this status, he would need your help through prayers and financial support. Ian feels that if Christians around the globe unite - they would be the ultimate dream team. He would also like to have long term relationships with his partners around the world.

I would like to challenge you once you have read this profile and visited the website, give Ian a chance to prove himself.

As senior Pastor of Jubilee Church I would like to wish Ian and MWAGV every success that God has planned for His purpose.
